The hotel was constructed in 1856 to welcome the painters, sculptors and writers who would go on to put Montparnasse and Saint Germain des Pres at the very heart of European culture. Today, although fully renovated, the hotel has retained its Left Bank character. 

This cultural heritage can be found notably in the nineteenth century furniture, the wooden fireplace in the lounge as well as in the garden courtyard.The modern equipment (air conditioning, Wifi, flat screen televisions, etc.) blend perfectly with the decor, marrying excellence and charm.
